Volunteer Program

Serve. Grow. Belong. Become.

At Empowered Mission Minded Youth (E.M.M.Y), we believe that volunteering is more than offering your time — it’s a calling to be part of something greater than yourself. Our Volunteer Program is a doorway for passionate individuals to live out their faith, touch lives, and grow into purpose-driven leaders.

Why Volunteer With E.M.M.Y?

Volunteering with us is not a one-time act — it’s a transformative journey. Whether you’re a student, youth leader, missionary, or professional, the E.M.M.Y Volunteer Program offers a space to connect your gifts to real needs in Uganda’s most underserved communities.

  • Serve in schools, hospitals, refugee camps, and villages
  • Inspire and mentor young people
  • Help distribute essential aid (pads, clothes, Bibles, food)
  • Use your professional or creative skills to strengthen the ministry
  • Grow spiritually and gain hands-on leadership experience

Who Can Join?

Anyone with a heart for service is welcome. Our volunteers come from all walks of life:

  • Local Ugandan youth
  • Gap year students
  • Mission-minded believers
  • Professionals in health, media, counseling, education, mechanics, or ministry

Whether you have a few hours a week or want to serve long-term, there is a place for you at E.M.M.Y.

What You’ll Experience

Volunteers participate in Monthly Outreach Week, teach, donate, and serve alongside local leaders in schools, refugee settlements, and health centers. The experience includes a structured schedule, cultural orientation, and daily community interaction. Volunteers give their time, energy, and passion to help the vulnerable and, in return, often discover their own deeper purpose.
